What is Mishap Protection?

Mishap Protection is accident-only pet insurance designed to help with eligible vet costs when your pet has a sudden, unexpected injury - like a fall, bite, burn, or swallowing something they shouldn’t.

What does Mishap
Protection cover?

Mishap Protection can help with eligible costs for accident-related treatment, such as:

  • Emergency vet visits
  • Tests and diagnostics (x-rays, scans, blood tests)
  • Treatment and procedures
  • Surgery (if needed)
  • Medication and follow-up care (accident-related)

What isn’t covered?

Mishap Protection isn’t for:

  • Illnesses (like cancer, diabetes, arthritis, allergies)
  • Chronic or ongoing conditions
  • Preventative care (vaccinations, worming, dental cleans, check-ups)
  • Pre-existing conditions (and symptoms during the waiting period)
